Here are some tips for handling stress.
1. Don’t try to conquer the world in a day, a week, or a month. Rome was not built in a day. You will have many years to conquer the world.
2. Slow down in whatever you are trying to achieve.
3. Don’t worry, if other people seem to be getting ahead. They probably aren’t.
4. Never, ever , ever, ever, ever, ever, stress out if your boyfriend or girlfriend dumps you. There are close to 8 billion people in the world. You can easily find someone else.
5. The right person makes you better, not worse. So if you are getting jerked around by your boyfriend or girlfriend, maybe you should dump them.
6. You aren’t going to be at young teenager forever. In only a few years you’ll be able to go out on your own and live your own life. Whatever stress you may be having at home is going to be less. Try to remember that.
7. A good way to take off stress is to engage in some sort of physical activity, whether it’s running, walking, weightlifting, or some other sport.
8. Make sure you are eating properly. A poor diet will compound stress.
9. Often we have four or five little things that are bothering us. It’s not just one thing. But these multiple things can add up to produce a lot of stress.
10. Try to see the bright side of things. A good attitude will get you far. You can have all the gifts and riches in the world and be miserable if you choose to do look at all the negative stuff. On the other hand, you can be completely poor and be a very happy person if you choose to see the bright side of things. And, there is always a bright side.
11. Try to think of the great future you are going to have.
